Retaliatory Iranian strikes across the region have hit Gulf states including the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Europe was also drawn into the conflict with two drones fired at a British base in Cyprus. Turkey said on Monday that a ballistic missile fired from Iran was intercepted in its airspace, the second incident in five days. Lebanon was dragged into the war when militant group Hezbollah launched rockets and drones into Israel, which has responded with heavy bombardment across the country. An estimated 1,332 civilians have been killed so far in Iran, according to Iran’s UN ambassador. At least 486 people have been killed in Lebanon by Israeli strikes and 11 people in Israel, according to officials in those countries.
