All-new 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser - Specs Features Performance Range Toyota has revealed the new Urban Cruiser, a battery-electric compact SUV that combines striking design, a roomy interior, and advanced technologies. Building on the Urban SUV Concept, the Urban Cruiser strengthens Toyota's position in Europe's rapidly growing and competitive market for compact electric SUVs, while also expanding the brand's all-electric lineup. The Urban Cruiser's striking design is a key differentiator from its competitors. The high-quality and sophisticated design was developed under the motto "Urban Tech" and conveys a muscular impression from every angle. A key element is the "Hammerhead" front end - a modern feature of the Toyota design language. The front and rear bumpers are powerfully designed and the striking taillight layout extends across the entire width of the tailgate. With its compact dimensions, the Urban Cruiser is slightly larger than the Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid. the Toyota Urban Cruiser rolls on 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels with sharply designed full wheel covers that improve the vehicle's aerodynamics. The wide range of exterior colors also includes two-tone options with a contrasting black roof. The key to a spacious and versatile interior is the Urban Cruiser's comparatively long wheelbase (+140 mm compared to the Yaris Cross). The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and the 10.1-inch multimedia display are seamlessly integrated into a single unit in the instrument panel. The multimedia system is designed for quick, intuitive operation and features satellite navigation that uses cloud-based data to take the latest traffic information into account. Smartphone integration allows the driver to easily access their favorite apps and services. The Urban Cruiser is available in two battery variants and with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive [1] . The batteries use lithium iron phosphate technology, which is characterized by longevity, safety and lower costs. The 49 kWh battery is only available in combination with front-wheel drive; the electric motor in this version delivers 106 kW/144 hp. For the front-wheel drive model, a version with a 61 kWh battery and 128 kW/174 hp engine output is also available. As a true SUV model, the Urban Cruiser is also available with all-wheel drive. In this version with a 61 kWh battery, the electric motor produces 135 kW/184 hp. One of the most important features of the new Urban Cruiser is the availability of all-wheel drive, which underlines the model's status as a true SUV. Thanks to the additional 48 kW motor on the rear axle, the all-wheel drive version offers confident and safe handling on loose and slippery surfaces and thus a reassuring driving experience in difficult conditions.
