Argentina's new labour bill: Unions say reforms to erode protections for workers

At one of Argentina’s largest tyre makers, workers found gates locked after the company shut, cutting about 900 jobs and blaming import competition following President Javier Milei’s policy changes. The Senate will vote on labour reforms to reduce severance pay, curb collective bargaining, ease hiring and firing, and limit lawsuits, affecting over 13 million registered workers.
