Bethlehem lights up Christmas tree amid hopes for economic recovery

Bethlehem has lit up its Christmas tree for the first time in two years. Israel's genocide in Gaza, and continuing assaults in the occupied West Bank have prevented Palestinians from celebrating until now. Palestinians hope first Christmas tree lighting ceremony in three years will encourage tourists to return to the city, which has been undergoing a severe economic crisis.
