Closing arguments delivered in trial of 3 officers charged in Tyre Nichols’ death

Lawyers began closing arguments in the case of three former Memphis police officers charged in the fatal beating of Tyre Nichols in 2023. Prosecutors argued the officers — Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley and Justin Smith — used excessive force in the arrest.
