A single Israeli strike flattened a 13-storey building in Qennarit, a densely populated town in southern Lebanon, forcing dozens of families from their homes. Residents were given just one hour to evacuate before the attack, which Israel claims targeted Hezbollah military infrastructure. Lebanon's leadership is resisting US and Israeli pressure for direct political negotiations, instead demanding the return of displaced residents to border villages as a precondition. The country needs at least $11 billion to rebuild, but international aid remains conditional on Hezbollah's disarmament, whilst Israeli strikes continue to deepen across Lebanese territory.
