Earthquake kills 13 in Ecuador, 1 in Peru, causes widespread damage

At least 13 people have died after a strong earthquake hit off the coast of Ecuador. The magnitude 6.7 earthquake was centred south of the second-largest city Guayaquil and shook the coastal Guayas region, damaging homes and buildings.
