Lebanese emergency workers operating in southern Lebanon have told Sky News they are being targeted by Israeli forces. At least 40 ambulances and 24 rescue stations have been hit this week during the Israeli offensive, they said. "We are definitely coming under specific attack", said Sayyed Abdullah, head of Civil Defence in the south. "They were all targeted directly, and I’m just speaking about our organisation." Israel says it has gone into southern Lebanon to drive out Hezbollah forces that have been firing rockets on communities in northern Israel. Hezbollah says it will halt the attacks if a ceasefire is agreed in Gaza.
