Palestinian civilians have begun fleeing Gaza City as the Israeli military begins operations in outlying districts. Israel has warned aid organisations to completely evacuate the north of the Gaza Strip. Some 60,000 Israeli reservists have been called up for the operation, which has been condemned by the international community.
