Planes have been grounded at some London airports due to a technical failure. The UK air traffic authority says it is limiting the number of aircraft flying in the London control area to ensure safety. The issue is a result of a technical issue at NATS Swanwick air traffic control centre, it added. Both London City and Gatwick airports have said the air traffic control issue is affecting departures.
