People did not sleep last night because of thinking about what’s going to happen to them, what’s going to be left of Gaza if Israel moves on with its approved plan to occupy the entire Gaza Strip, starting with Gaza City. All of these questions are coupled with frustration, and with desperation dominating every conversation between family members. We happened to be near a displacement site where we could hear people waking up in the middle of the night and discussing where they were supposed to go. One particular conversation stood out: a father, who was referring to his eight children inside the tent, was making a point of where they were going to go with the little ones, al-Mawasi or the western part of Deir el-Balah? He spoke with a painful tone, saying this was his fifth time of being displaced from one place to another. It’s worse than before. Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reports.
