It's the first day of the reopening of the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt after nearly two years. So far only five patients have been able to leave the Strip to receive medical treatment abroad. Even with Israel's limited reopening of the crossing, the expectation was that 50 patients would be allowed to exit the strip each day.
