In southern Gaza, displaced families live in makeshift shelters after losing their homes and loved ones in Israeli attacks. Many share fragile tents made of plastic and blankets, offering little protection from the heat or cold. Despite the dire conditions, they continue to hope for a ceasefire that will allow them to return to their destroyed neighbourhoods. Thousands have endured two years of Israel’s war on Gaza, holding onto the dream of rebuilding their homes and reclaiming a sense of normal life amidst the devastation.
