Gemany has been marking the 35th anniversary of demonstrations which led to the fall of the Berlin. Chancellor Olaf Scholz led a ceremony in the eastern city of Leipzig, where thousands began gathering on Monday to protest against the communist regime in a ceremony to mark the 35th anniversary of the Monday Demonstrations has been held in the German city of Leipzig. Chancellor Olaf Scholz attended the memorial to mark the 9th of October - the day that is regarded as the precursor to the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989.
