Greece wildfires force mass evacuations, volunteers lead rescue efforts

A massive wildfire on the Greek island of Crete has forced hotels to evacuate thousands of guests and residents. As flames threaten popular tourist areas and homes, volunteers, hotel owners, and emergency crews have stepped in to lead rescue operations and protect communities. Many hotels have relocated guests to safer areas, and local authorities warn that strong winds could worsen the situation.
