Sources at the Home Office have confirmed that the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood is actively looking at Denmark to model some of her policies to manage illegal migration in the country. The government has struggled to halt the number of people coming across the Channel in small boats. Sky's political correspondent said in Denmark they have "succeeded" in driving down the number of migrants seeking asylum through "draconian" policies.
