House hearing ends after lawmaker introduces Rep. Sarah McBride as ‘Mr. McBride’

A House subcommittee hearing abruptly ended on Tuesday when Texas Republican Rep. Keith Self introduced the first openly transgender lawmaker in Congress as "Mr. McBride." Rep. Sarah McBride responded by referring to Self as "Madam Chair."
