Hundreds of people are feared dead in Hong Kong following a massive fire that spread through a residential high rise complex. The death toll stands at 55 - but with nearly 300 reported missing, that figure is expected to rise. Three construction company executives have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. Officials say the inferno may have been caused by unsafe building materials and possible gross negligence. There were 2-thousand apartments in the complex. Hong Kong has some of the world's most densley-populated housing complexes. The inferno burned through the night, and firefighters are still struggling to reach people who may be trapped on the upper floors. 00:00 Hundreds feared dead in Hong Kong fire 03:32 Selina Cheng, Journalist 06:25 Ronson Chan Ron-sing, Journalist For more news go to: http://www.dw.com/en/ Follow DW on social media: ►Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dwnews ►TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dwnews ►Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/deutschewellenews/ ►Twitter: https://twitter.com/dwnews Für Videos in deutscher Sprache besuchen Sie: https://www.youtube.com/dwdeutsch Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/deutschewelleenglish?sub_confirmation=1 #hongkong #fire #highrise
