Sanctions imposed by the United States on nine judges and prosecutors of the International Criminal Court have had a serious impact on their lives. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Canadian judge Kimberly Prost calls the sanctions shocking and crippling. The Trump Administration imposed the measures after the ICC issued arrest warrants against Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and ordered an investigation into war crimes by American soldiers in Afghanistan.
