ICC warns justice system at risk if US sanctions go unchecked

Officials at the International Criminal Court have issued sharp warnings over US efforts to undermine the court. They say international justice is at risk if member states stay silent about Washington’s sanctions. Nine ICC judges and prosecutors were targeted for work d to cases involving Israel and the United States. ICC officials argue that such pressure threatens the court’s independence and global rule of law. They warn that silence from member states will embolden future attacks on the court.
