Iran’s IRGC says it targeted Israeli army centre, Mossad operations hub

Israel claims to have killed Iran’s wartime chief of staff, Ali Shadmani—a top military aide to Khamenei—in a strike on Tehran, though Iran has not confirmed his death. The attack levelled buildings, including a state broadcaster’s offices, killing three journalists and drawing condemnation. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard vows "crushing retaliation", alleging strikes on a military intelligence centre and a Mossad base in Israel, while reports emerge of fresh explosions in Tabriz. Nuclear facilities like Natanz and Fordow have also been hit, raising contamination fears. Tehran signals openness to de-escalation only if Israel halts attacks, but ongoing strikes dim hopes for dialogue. Shadmani’s reported death, if verified, would mark another blow to Iran’s military leadership after last week’s killing of General Rashid.
