Israel blocking journalists from Gaza to ‘control the narrative’: Palestinian journalist

Throughout Israel's devastating war on Gaza, Palestinian journalists have played a vital role bearing witness to the genocide. On the front lines while documenting atrocities, they have paid a high price to ensure the truth endures. The UN says the Israeli military has killed at least 248 media workers in Gaza since October the 7th, 2023. 11 Al Jazeera journalists are among them. So far, there has been no accountability for any of these deaths. The father of a journalist killed in Gaza during an Israeli attack on a hospital says she should have been better protected. Mariam Abu Daqqa was killed in August when the Israeli military bombed Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Maha Hussaini is an award-winning journalist and human rights advocate from Gaza. She works as the head of media at Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor. She says Palestinian journalists are determined to report on what's happening in Gaza, despite being targeted by Israel.
