Israel expands mass displacement from Gaza to West Bank, B’Tselem report warns

Israeli rights group B'Tselem warns that Israel's forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza threatens to become permanent, with nearly 90% of the population displaced at least once since the war began. The report suggests Israel is using destruction and starvation to engineer depopulation, with almost 90% of Gaza designated as military zones or under evacuation orders. Similar strategies are being employed in the occupied West Bank, where 40,000 Palestinians have been forced from their homes in the largest displacement since 1967. The Israeli government's actions, including the establishment of a unit to oversee mass departures from Gaza and increased demolitions in the Negev, are raising concerns about a systematic attempt to expel Palestinians from their lands.
