It's been 54 days since the start of Israel's military offensive in Lebanon. Its forces have bombed thousands of homes, mostly in the southern and eastern parts of the country. More than 3,600 people have been killed and thousands injured. More than one million people have been displaced. And at least four people have been killed and many others injured, after missiles flattened a residential building in the central Beirut neighbourhood of Basta early on Saturday morning. It's only about two kilometres from Lebanon's Parliament. Since Israel's offensive against Hezbollah began, it has rarely targeted the centre of the capital, instead focusing mostly on the southern suburb. There's also been intense air strikes in the South of the country. Al Jazeera’s Ali Hashem is in Tyre and Zein Basravi is in Beirut for the latest developments.
