Israel has defended carrying out a wave of attacks on Beirut this week that killed more than 300 people. Danny Danon, Israel's permanent representative to the United Nations, told Yalda Hakim the IDF was attacking sites belonging to the Iranian-backed group Hezbollah. He also said there would be no ceasefire with Lebanon ahead of peace talks.
