Amidst the constant drone of Israeli aircraft and the cacophony of air strikes, Palestinian children in Gaza are finding brief moments of respite through a unique initiative: Camp Cinema. Just kilometres from the frontlines, this makeshift cinema offers a rare escape from the harsh realities of war, allowing children to momentarily forget their surroundings and immerse themselves in colourful stories. Local filmmakers and volunteers have also organised games in school courtyards, transforming spaces of despair into pockets of joy for displaced families. However, these fleeting moments of normality are quickly overshadowed by the grim reality that awaits outside. Gaza's children continue to bear the brunt of Israel’s genocidal war, spending their days searching for basic necessities and shouldering the weight of survival.
