Israel's Smotrich says illegal West Bank settlement 'buries the idea of Palestinian state'

Israel’s far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich plans to approve thousands of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, saying it “buries the idea of a Palestinian state”. Israeli media say the move by Smotrich could lead to more than 3,000 illegal units being built as part of the controversial E1 project.
