Israeli forces have excavated graves at al-Batsh cemetery in Gaza City's al-Tuffah neighbourhood, desecrating the final resting place of dozens of Palestinians whilst searching for Israeli remains. The Ministry of Religious Affairs reports that 39 of Gaza's 62 cemeteries have been completely destroyed through air strikes and bulldozing, with another 19 partially damaged. Civil Defence officials say Israeli authorities have blocked coordination requests to access the cemetery, leaving families unable to protect or rebury their loved ones. The Marzouq family alone has 23 disturbed graves amongst hundreds of cases. Al Jazeera's Ibrahim al-Khalili reports from Gaza.
