Israeli military say leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, was killed in an operation in Southern Gaza after a year in hiding. He was the architect of the 7 October attacks and described by Israel as a master murderer. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged that his army will continue in "full force" until the hostages are freed.
