Israeli settlers have set fire to a mosque in the Palestinian village of Deir Istiya in the occupied West Bank. The fire damaged parts of the buildings interior. Civil defence workers were able to put out the blaze. Settlers also left racist graffiti on the side of the building. Palestinian authorities say settlers have carried out around 700 arson attacks since October 2023. The UN warns that settler violence has reached unprecedented levels, averaging eight attacks a day.
