Former US national security adviser John Bolton has pleaded not guilty to charges of mishandling classified information and keeping top secret documents at his home. Bolton entered the plea at a Maryland federal court. He is the third prominent Trump critic to face prosecution in the past few weeks. He's accused of sharing with his family more than 1,000 pages of notes that included sensitive national defense information. Bolton served under Trump in his first term, but the two butted heads on many foreign policy issues, which lead to Trump firing him. Bolton denies the charges against him, which he attributes to Trump "weaponizing the Justice department" against his enemies.
