Kenya declares emergency as drought devastates Mandera County

A warning that the following report contains distressing images. Three consecutive failed rainy seasons have left more than 330,000 people in northern Kenya facing a catastrophic drought. The government has placed Mandera County in the “alarm” stage, declaring a drought emergency. Most of the people in Mandera County depend on the land to survive.
