Homan has met Minnesota's Governor Tim Walz who again called for impartial investigations into the Minneapolis shooting deaths by federal agents. Homan is replacing Border Control official Greg Bovino who left Minneapolis following the most recent fatal shooting of a civilian by federal officials. That shooting sparked mass public outrage.
