More than 200 people killed in Air India plane crash, official says

More than 200 people have been killed when an Air India flight crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad airport in western India, authorities say, with only one survivor found so far. The Boeing 787-8 aircraft bound for London Gatwick Airport was carrying 242 passengers and crew when it came down on Thursday in a residential area, crashing into a medical college hostel outside the airport during lunch hour.
