Myanmar's ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi appeared in court in person for the first time since the military coup in February. One of her lawyers said that Suu Kyi was able to meet with her defense team before her hearing in the capital of Naypyitaw began. Aung San Suu Kyi, who won the Nobel peace prize in 1991, is among more than 4,000 people detained since the coup.
