National Farmers' Union: Labour 'said they wouldn't make this change'

Tom Bradshaw, president of the National Farmers' Union (NFU), says the farming industry has been "betrayed" as Labour raise farmers' inheritance tax after promising they wouldn't. Mr Bradshaw says there has always been "a contract" and understanding between the government and farmers, but Labour have "destroyed" that. He says the margins from food production are thin and farmers "simply don't have the money to pay inheritance tax".
