As the world’s glare shifts to the Middle East and the US/Israeli war on Iran, NATO is enhancing its efforts in the Arctic and High North as part of NATO’s Cold Response ‘26 military exercise. The military exercise involves 32,000 soldiers across fourteen NATO countries including the US, as well as Italy and those from the Mediterranean unused to such difficult topography. Some of the systems used for surveillance efforts include the P-8 Poseidon - a maritime patrol aircraft designed for anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, and search and rescue.
