Nigeria declares state of emergency in oil-rich rivers state

Nigeria’s parliament has approved a state of emergency in Rivers State, a major oil-producing region, following a series of explosions targeting key pipelines. The government has deployed thousands of security personnel to safeguard critical oil infrastructure amid rising militant activity.
