Palestinian student arrested in US faces deportation to West Bank: Report

Another Columbia University student has been arrested for his activism in support of Palestine. Mohsen Mahdawi is set to be deported. The Palestinian student is a legal permanent US resident and was arrested in Vermont during his interview to obtain full citizenship. Al Jazeera’s Kristen Saloomey reports from New York. Claire Finkelstein is a professor of national security law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She says it’s unclear whether Mohsen Mahdawi will be deported, as lawyers have filed papers to block the process.
