Peru’s ex-president Ollanta Humala found guilty in major corruption case

Peru’s former president Ollanta Humala and his wife Nadine Heredia have been found guilty of money laundering in a landmark ruling. The couple was convicted as part of the wide-reaching ‘Car Wash’ investigation – a massive corruption probe involving the Brazilian construction giant Odebrecht, which admitted to paying millions in bribes to presidents, politicians, and executives across Latin America.
