Qatar says ballistic missile struck Al Udeid airbase, no casualties reported

Qatar says it was targeted by two ballistic missiles launched from Iran, one of which was intercepted while another hit the Al Udeid airbase, which hosts US forces. The Defence Ministry announcement comes after a series of blasts were heard near the capital Doha several hours ago. “Our armed forces possess full capabilities to protect and preserve the sovereignty of the state and its territory, and to firmly confront any threat,” it said in a statement.
