Phil Murphy, the Democratic governor of New Jersey, has told Trevor Phillips that Donald Trump's admiration for "renegade" Britain may mean the UK is spared from tariff hikes. Trump is expected to introduce 20% tariffs on foreign imports when he takes over the White House after winning a second presidential term. When asked whether he thinks the UK could be exempt, Mr Murphy said: "I do."
