Returning home: Germany considers allowing Syrians to visit Syria

Germany is actively considering allowing hundreds of thousands of Syrians to visit their home country, to allow them to assess whether they can return there permanently. Anyone who does so risks losing residency rights in Germany as that could be taken as proof that it's safe to return.
