Russia and Belarus hold military drills

Russia and Belarus have been holding joint military drills on NATO’s doorstep, raising concerns in the West. There are fears in Eastern Europe that the "Zapad-2025" exercises are designed to simulate the occupation of the Suwalki gap, a corridor that stretches along the border between Poland and Lithuania, flanked by Belarus and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. The corridor is considered a vulnerability for NATO and a potential target.
