Russia's defence ministry: Ukraine hits Russia with US long-range missiles

Reports from the Russian Ministry of Defence say Ukrainian armed forces have struck a target in the Bryansk region of Russia with six ATACMS ballistic missiles supplied by the US. State media cited the ministry as saying air defence crew shot down five shells and damaged the other, but missile fragments caused a fire after falling on part of the military facility. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Keir Starmer has described the Russian government as "depraved", after Putin approved an updated nuclear doctrine, lowering the threshold for nuclear weapon use.
