Sri Lankans have cast their votes in snap parliamentary elections with major economic and constitutional reforms on the ballot. Sri Lanka's new leftist President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is hoping to secure more seats in parliament after winning the presidential vote in September. Dissanayake's victory ended decades of rule by political dynasties - which are largely blamed for the country's economic crisis. His coalition - the National People's Power - only has three seats in the outgoing parliament. They have promised to fight poverty if they secure a majority. Results are expected on Friday.
