However, giving his reaction to protests from farmers over changes in inheritance tax, Mr Reed says Labour "have to plug that £22bn black hole" left by the Conservative government. He adds it is "only right" that Labour asks "the wealthiest landowners and the biggest farms to pay their fair share" but emphasises a "vast majority of farms will not be affected".
