Sudan conflict: UN experts find 'hallmarks of genocide' in el-Fasher

An independent fact-finding body says the Rapid Support Forces’ late October takeover of el-Fasher left at least 6,000 killed in three days and bore the hallmarks of genocide. The report cites widespread rape, torture, arbitrary detention, extortion and enforced disappearances, and an 18-month siege that the UN says created conditions aimed at the population’s destruction.
