The health secretary has told Sky News he believes the government's plan to tackle obesity by introducing a health food standard for supermarkets is a "world-first approach" and not "nanny statism". Speaking on Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips, Wes Streeting said the initiative will aim to "reduce the amount of unhealthy food in trolleys" - and retailers failing to hit their targets could face financial penalties.
