Tanzania's electoral commission has declared incumbent President Samia Suluhu Hassan the winner of Wednesday's presidential vote with around 98% of the ballots. The government has been defending its response to the protests and unrest since the election. The opposition says hundreds have been killed by security services. Tanzania's Foreign Minister has told Al Jazeera, security forces have not used excessive force. He also denied opposition claims that at least 700 people have been killed in a police crackdown.
